The Dogs of Thanksgiving

I don't know about you, but our family is a dog family. Just about every family member has their own dog (we are waiting on my brother Bryn, but he'll come around).

And every year, for the holidays, we all bring our pooches with us to my parents house. They have a big yard, which all of our dogs seem to love.

So looking around one particularly lazy night, I noticed how content all of our dogs were. So, what does the blogger in me think? Photo opp, duh!
Here are the dogs of Thanksgiving!

You all know Hudson by now right? He is my pups, and obviously the one I took the most pictures of (yes, there are more that I didn't upload). Doesn't he just have the sweetest face?

Roddick is the old man of the group. While the other whippersnappers are running around, he just observes with disdain (I don't know if that is true, but that is the vibe I get lol). He is the sweetest dog, and has been in our family the longest. There will always be a special place in my heart for him...
 {Buddies}

Greta is my grandparent's dog, and she has quite the personality. She is a big cuddler, and loves her Mom and Dad very much. One thing though, make sure you don't throw a ball for her, because she will never stop chasing it down...we love her so much!

Blake is my parent's second dog (do you see a tennis theme in their dog names?). He is the tiniest of the group with the biggest spirit. He loves to post up by his mom's side, and never wanders far from her.

By the way, did I mention my dog thinks he is a lap dog even though he is 45lbs? Yeah, he tends to jump on your lap when you least expect it. And he is also really good at stare downs...
 ...and smiling....

Thanksgiving wouldn't be the same without all of our dog's by our side.

Coffee Talk 11.29

It is that time of the wee again! My favorite link-up with Natalie at OhEmGee...

Coffee Talk!!

{Who doesn't love the Starbucks Christmas cup?}

1. What is the meaning behind your blog name?
I started my blog right after I graduated college. I had no idea what idea what I wanted to do with my life. Nobody ever tells you how complicated life gets when you grow up....and I personally use the term "all kinds of" to describe just about anything.

2. How long have you been blogging? What made you start?
I have been blogging about 2 and a half years? I started because towards the end of college I realized how much I loved to write, and I wanted to have an outlet to work and grow as a writer.

3. What is your blog generally about?
My blog is generally about general stuff lol. I made a decision not to long ago to blog about whatever strikes my fancy, and not be forced into a certain bloggy mold.

4. Do you have any funny blogs you would like to share?
Funny blogs are the best. I just discovered Natalie not to long ago, and she is hilarious. My long time bloggy friend Faye is awesome, and has the same quirky brain as me. Shannon at Gin and Bare it is bold, and loves to tell it like it is. And Dana at Possessionista provides hilarious commentary on television shows while telling you what your favorite stars are wearing (win, win!).

5. What are your hopes for your blog?
Oh, what a good question! I hope that people enjoy reading what I have to say. I hope that my words make someone smile from time to time. I hope to look back on this blog and smile at all the wonderful memories....

It's not to late for you to link-up for Coffee Talk!!

Still Recovering...

...from my Turkey Coma.

Thanksgiving is over, and I had a fabulous Turkey Day (minus the fact that I gained about 10 pounds). There will be more pictures and stories to come.
Now that Thanksgiving has gone, I am moving to the real show stopper of the year...Christmas!

Tinsel
Presents
Lights
Yummy Treats
Christmas Movies
and of course...my very own puppy under the Christmas Tree
What else could a girl ask for?

I really can't wait for the Christmas season to start!!

My Two Buddies

While I am excited to be home, Shea and Sarah couldn't make it....and there is a very little special reason why.

You might have heard of my favorite pal Parker...
You know what, we are pretty tight. He hangs out with me all the time. We play all of his favorite games (the kid is pretty good with a t-ball). We have some pretty deep conversations about Na-nas and doggies.

But now, my brother and sister-in-law have a new edition, which is why they aren't quite ready to travel yet..

Miss Olivia Layne
...and I can tell we are going to be besties in no time.

So we are missing Shea and Sarah this Thanksgiving.
And I am missing my two buddies.

Home

Hello friends!

Sorry I have been MIA....

Right now I am currently lying in bed in my childhood bedroom, and am happy as can be. No matter how old I get, there is something about staying in the bedroom that I have had since I was little that warms my heart.

This week is going to bring good times with family and friends, and of course LOTS of good food (Good thing I brought my turkey eatin' pants). In case you didn't pick up on my Friends reference, here you go...

I don't know about you, but I love the Holidays!!

It it good to be home. :)

Coffee Talk #2

Hello!
This week's Coffee Talk is all about one of my favorite times of the year....my birthday!!! I could answer questions about this all day long!
Coffee Talk with Natalie Blair

1. When is your birthday? How old will you be? What is your sign?
My birthday is September 26, and I will be 25. In case you didn't notice, that means I will be in my MID-twenties (You can't see, but I am sad). Good thing that is still like 10 months away...I can mentally prepare until then!

2. What's the BEST birthday gift you've ever gotten? What is the WORST gift?
I have gotten LOTS of good gifts over the years, and I can't remember most of them. But this year, my boyfriend got me my very first DSLR Camera, and that was pretty darn amazing. Annnd I really can't remember any bad birthday gifts? I guess all gifts are good gifts! :)

3. Do you like having birthday parties for yourself? What about surprise birthday parties?
I don't like planning birthday parties for myself because I am always afraid nobody will come. And I do love surprise parties, but I also hate being the last to know about things. So it is a love-hate relationship really.

4. What is your dream birthday party bash???
Oh...I haven't thought about it? I think it would be fabulous to fly all my friends out to Hawaii, or some amazing island, and have a big party there together!

5. What is your favorite kind of birthday cake? [handmade, store bought, made fresh by a baker]
Okay. So there is place from my hometown, Bakersfield, called Jake's Tex Mex. I kid you not, they have the BEST chocolate cake I have ever had. It is a good year when I can have that on my birthday.

6. What is on your birthday wish list?
An engagement ring? That gives him 10 months to prepare right? (Boyfriend is reading this and shaking his head at me lol)

Head on over to OHEMGEE and link up for some Coffee Talk!
