Blogging

I have been thinking about blogging, and why I do it. First of all, I have read posts like these, and never thought I would do one. I love writing, a lot, but this whole blogging universe comes with a lot of disappointments as well. It's hard not to think the friends you make on here, aren't real friends. But honestly most of the people aren't.They might leave you nice comments every once and a while, but they aren't what is real.

It is disheartening when you think you have made connections, that you really haven't made. I am such a positive and nice person, and I usually trust people way too soon. Maybe that is why it is so disappointing to find out how some people truly value you. I think I just always want people to like me, and it bothers me when some people decide to not include me.

That isn't to say that my followers aren't amazing, and I really do love and appreciate you guys so much! There are SO many great people to meet in this blogging community of ours. But I think at the same time, I need to not let myself get so wrapped up into it.

This probably just looks like random ramblings to you. And most of you have clicked past my blog already because there is way too much writing on this post, and not enough pictures (Honestly I do the same thing sometimes). I promise I will get back to my regular positivity tomorrow. Today I am just pondering why it is I subject myself to a popularity contest of sorts...

Do you guys ever get stressed out with this whole blogging world sometimes?

I could have written this. I feel the same way. I have certain blogger friends that I comment on their posts and they comment on mine and we tweet sometimes, but that's about as far as it goes. But that's still great. Because I love their blogs and their tweets and them.

When I see people blogging about their blog friends that they skype with every day and send letters to and birthday cards...I'm kinda like... wow. Am I getting left out of the club?

Or something like that.

I get stressed out a lot lately. I feel the same way and have been thinking about my blog so much. Is it really worth all the time I put into it each and every day? Hang in there! I am still here even if I don't leave a comment every time I'm here! xxx

Some days I think about removing my GFC just so I don't have to see one person drop out of the mix...even one person publicly saying they don't want to read your blog anymore HURTS!

I feel ya.

i love this because its so true. sometimes i get caught up in the "come see my blog" game, i mean we all do. but its hard to know who is being genuine in trying to make a connection vs trying become more "popular". i also feel that its hard to make connections in the blogging world because I'm not married or getting married, not prego, don't have kids, or anything, its just me, and a lot of people dismiss me because of it. it kind of hurts...i like to think i have just as much to offer an anyone else. its like an episode from sex and city, for realz

You bet I do! Blogging is truly a huge passion of mine, but it also has it's rough days. You might feel like your content isn't as top-notch as it could be, advertisers aren't digging your style or that people aren't interested anymore - but sometimes those are the best motivators for change :) Keep at it! The best rewards are those you really put your heart into, no matter how crazy things can get!

I definitely feel ya. I often feel like I don't have enough time in the day to post, but I do love writing and sharing whatever thoughts are on my mind so sometimes it weighs out the struggle of trying to find the time.

I love your blog so keep posting and sending positive vibes your way!

wanna know something funny Kai?
i feel the same way and i always
tought that if my posts are not
perfect and fun and full of pics
people wouldn't appreciate it and
click the red cross on top right
corner .. but the one day i needed
to vent and let it out ... i did
and didn't care who was going to
read it or if anybody was going to
care ... and its the post that got
the most comments and views.
Believe it or not some girls are
really understanding and have one
or two things to say to cheer you
up. So dont be afraid to post like
this more often because you might
be surprised of how many people
will agree with you or have the
feeling in common

:) kisses and hugs love!

Yes. I do get stressed out. And disheartened or uninspired...etc.

But you have to do it for yourself! It's not about who gets the most comments or followers. It's about which posts matter the most to you in a year when you look back and you can think about what you were doing during this time in your life - that's why I do it.

Oh Kai, you know we all have these moments. I try to ignore those moments, and I remind myself that I blog because I love to do it. It is my way of documenting my random life, it allows me to put words down that help me remember the positives and negatives in life. It also is a great way for me to figure out if I have worn an outfit recently.

But please just know that I adore your blog, I am so glad we have this connection. So many times after high school you loose those connections with people you knew, so look at us now: neither of us in Bakersfield 5-6 years out of high school and we are connected through the blogging world!

Have a great Thursday!

Totally understand! But I have to keep reminding myself, that I blog for me. It is important to me to stay true to myself, and in doing so, I truly believe that people will genuinely see that shine through and appreciate the honesty. I love and appreciate each and everyone of my readers and if I get a real friendship out of one or two, that is an added bonus!

I've totally been feeling the same way {on and off} this past week. It's definitely something we subject ourselves to.....but its hard not to get hurt feelings sometimes :).
