Pumpkins and Such

First and foremost...

HAPPY
HALLOWEEEEEENN!!!!!!!!!

Now on with the pumpkins and such...

Last week my brother Bryn invited us over to carve Pumpkins.

Being the odd bird that I am, I decided we could not just show up in regular clothes. I made it a mandate that Nick, my mom, and I all throw some kind of costume together for the festivities!

Here is what we all landed on...

A Bum
(No I will not actually work for beer. It was just supposed to be a little joke)

Scorpion
(Can you believe Nick has this costume saved from EIGHT years ago?!!?)

A Witch
(She stole my tutu and hat, but I'll allow it)

We showed up to my brother's surprise in full costume, and had a blast! I don't know if it is just me, but I think everything is a little more fun when you are dressed up. (Except for the fact that my bum costume was really hot)

After lots of hard work, and lots of ooey gooey pumpkin guts, we came up with some pretty neat finished products!
Thanks Bryney, for hosting such a fun night!

Halloween Shenanigans

I am linking up with Ashley today (well, kinda) for her First & Last Halloween Edition! I couldn't find my first Halloween Costume....but I am SUPER excited about my latest one!
For my costume this year, I was on a particular mission, with very particular rules.
1. I wanted to be cute, but not slutty.
(but for real women, how many times are we going to see a corset with some kind of animal ears?)
2. I wanted it to be recognizable...
3. ...I also wanted it to be a little different at the same time.
4. A little fake blood never heard anyone. (Good rule of thumb for life)
So after reviewing all of these things, I decided on a costume that I loved.
Little Red Riding Hood that killed the Wolf!
 That's right. I flipped the script not the classic Red Riding Hood tale. No wilting flower here! Damsels in distress are a thing of the past people! It is all about female bad-assness!

I beheaded that wolf, and made a purse out of his skin.

I wear my blood as a badge of honor.

I carry my axe with pride!

And I also make sure my hair is always perfectly curled, of course.

This is actually one of my favorite costumes I have ever worn, and was super excited with how it turned out. I loooove all the blood, but the Wolf Head Purse is my favorite. (I'm a little weird...I know)

Nick and I had a few friends over, and we celebrated one of my favorite holidays together!
 {Nick's sister Dani on the far right, and Adrianna in the middle}
 {Hello Kitty, Flapper, Little Red, and a Bunny}

In case you follow me on Instagram and wondered what Nick was going to be...he was:

White Goodman from Dodgeball!
{Ridiculous, as always...}
{Can someone explain to me how I am more covered up than my boyfriend?}
We had an AMAZING night, and I can't wait to celebrate again next year! (Yes, I already have costumes planned...I am that weird)
But before you go....just know this...
I might not stop at just killing the wolf...
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

This Time Last Year...

...Nick and I were LMFAO

Yes, you read that right. My boyfriend is notorious for having ridiculous costumes, and last year I joined him on all things crazy (afros included). Observe:
Yep. We are ridiculous.

Do you know how long it too me to comb out my afro? SO LONG. And it hurt SO BAD. Yeah, that crazy poof on the side of my head is my actual hair...

This year I am settling for something a little more normal, and Nick is going to be even more crazy (if that is even possible).

Stay tuned for many pictures!

7 Questions: Halloween Style!

You guys. Gentri Lee is hosting two of my favorite things combined together! Halloween AND a Survey! I had to join in!
{Halloween last year! We were LMFAO if you couldn't tell}

1. Do you believe in ghosts?
I do not. My boyfriend gets mad at me every time we bring this up because he claims he "saw" a ghost.
2. Do you prefer the cute or the scary Halloween?
Scary!!!! I am a HUGE Scary movie buff! The spookier the better!

3. How old were you when you stopped trick or treating?
I can't remember? I think we trick or treated into high school...but that was maybe just an excuse to run around with my high school friends...

4. Do you have any fun Halloween traditions?

Nick and I watch the same movies every year! Interview with the Vampire, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cloverfield, and Nightmare Before Christmas.
5. Share a scary local urban legend.

I will do one from my hometown. The high school I went to was supposedly very haunted. Apparently during the building of one of the Halls, a few people mysteriously died. Even creepier, my dad teaches in that same hall today! OooOOOooOO!
6. Would you rather be haunted or haunting?
Oh hmm....I would be down to be haunted....unless it was by the devil or a demon...homie don't play with that stuff...
7. What's your favorite Halloween character/ creature? (dracula, witch, ghost, etc)
I have a weird obsession with Zombies. I have a reoccurring dream of what I would do if there was Zombie outbreak. Yes, I have an escape route planned...

Wanna join in on the Spooky fun? Head on over to Gentri Lee!
