Living on a Prayer

It happened. Last weekend, for the first time ever, I sang karaoke. Well, the term "sang" is very loosely translated here because I can't really carry a tune. But the point is I did it! Let's start from the beginning...

Friday night I ventured on an work outting to the Padre game. Luckily for me, two of my very close friends intern at my work, so I get to have pals around wherever work takes me! And since we had a few extra tickets, we got to bring a few more friends as well. So of course we meet up early and have a few TGIF drinks with the whole crew.

Now let the records show, that whenever I go out with my friends Julie and Danielle, it is a guaranteed good time.....

Normally I am not a huge fan of downtown, and the whole club scene. If I go out, I am more of a casual bar with good friends instead of a hundreds of random strangers dancing to techno. But I absolutely loved the side of Downtown that I discovered last Friday! 

We started the night at Bub's Dive Bar, enjoying some quality bar food. Then, we ended up staying at the baseball game for a grand total of fifteen minutes, because we were itching to explore the rest of what downtown had to offer. At the end of the night, we happened to find ourselves in a karaoke bar. I had never done karaoke before, but I did have a song in reserves if the opportunity ever arises...

...looks like the opportunity arose.

p.s. There is video proof of this. But there is no way you will ever be seeing it. I will tell you it is thoroughly embarrassing though.
